This was a bit of a last minute decision hike. Decided to do this one while I was at Pima Canyon (South Mountain) on Friday night.

I have been up Kimball twice from the other trailhead and never started out of Tucson's Pima Canyon. I read good things about the canyon walls. They are all true. The canyon is impressive. I am sure there are nice waterfalls during a heavy rain. Flowers were blooming, water was running, it was a treat.

I think the best views were right after the Pima Saddle turn off point. Looking back at the jagged range was a nice view. Kimball was nice too. Looks like Lemmon still has snow. Window Peak and Cathedral brought back some good trip memories.

Trail is in great shape. Ran most of the way down. Made good time without poles.

Watch stats were a bit different on elevation. I use the Garmin Solar Instinct Solar 2 and I have been having random shut offs. Glad I didn't have any today.
