| no partners | | Last hike in Idaho before I head back to Phoenix for a couple of months. Opted for an easy one. Got started a few minutes before 0800. As usual, the trail is in excellent shape. Kind of warm and muggy, with no breeze. Snacked on some huckleberries on my way uphill.
The use trail for the final half mile to the summit is much steeper, but easy to follow once you’re on it. Spent a few minutes up top. Fast hike back downhill. Saw one snake, two deer, and lots of squirrels. There were a handful of other hikers and some folks picking morels and huckleberries. Good workout. |
