We decided to tack on a small hike to Pivot Rock since Bruce said we were too full of energy. Easy hike, a tad warm at this point of the afternoon. Buggy.

Once past the rock, we headed over to the spring, where temps were notably cooler while we took a short break by the water.

Retraced our steps back out, passing a few other hikers. Quick drive back to Pine, where we visited with Deb fir a few minutes, and enjoyed a tasty dessert she had prepared for us. Nice to finally meet her! Easy drive back to the Valley, less traffic than I expected.
