The trail was a little vague in places, and we managed to get some bonus aeg due to not paying attention. The only truly steep part was the final descent down to the creek. Loose rock added to the fun.
Took a nice break by the water. Then we headed back uphill. The steep part was slow going, but seemed to be over fairly quickly. The rest of the climb out went smoothly. We ate lunch near the tank. Temps were wonderful for the day, with a nice breeze at times. I wore a jacket for the first mile or so, but was fine in just a shirt after that. Saw some turkeys near the trailhead, some ducks at the tank, and evidence of other wildlife along the trail. Good hike and a good workout. |
