| no partners | | | Belated post. Last day in St Charles allowed for a one last visit to the Katy Trail. Hiked the trail along with the parks in the area (Du Sable and Frontier) as well as some of the trails that fed off the Katy Trail. Mainly, in the St. Charles area. Nothing too exciting. Just exploring in a little more depth some of the area that the Katy Trail exposed me to. The park walking was paved with open views. The side trails that led into the woods was more intimate and composed of a dirt (sometimes muddy) single track. These dirt paths were much more interesting and usually led to and/or paralleled the river. |
