| partners | | The Miller Canyon trailhead was nearly full when we arrived at 0730, but I managed to squeeze into a makeshift spot. Cool enough temps as Janelle, Katie, and I headed up Miller Canyon. Occasional breeze. The trail is in decent shape, but a little rocky at times.
We took a break at Bathtub Spring, then headed south on the Crest Trail. The breeze was almost chilly at times, but felt great. The final push up to Miller Peak wasn’t too bad.
Another break at the summit. Very hazy air. Chatted with some hikers from West Virginia. Retraced our steps back down, and the descent was a breeze. Warm for the final two miles.
The road to the trailhead is driveable by most vehicles. The drive back to Phoenix had mostly light traffic, which was nice. Good day! |
