| no partners | | Got out for a quick Sunday morning hike close to home in Usery. From Area 10 I hiked a loop with Blevins, Chainfruit, Lost Sheep, Blevins, Levee, Spillway, Meridian out and back, and Blevins back to the lot.
Started before the sun hit the horizon, it was cool but not chilly. Sun warmed it up without getting hot. The saguaros were noticeably thicker and swollen from the recent rain. My legs were still a bit stiff from the longer hike the day before, but it felt good to stretch them out and keep moving the next day. No wildlife spotted, just the usual hikers and bikers. Spotted one hiker near the top of one of the Cat Peaks. He sat there for a few minutes then made his way down. |
