| no partners | | I got out to the Supes this morning. Went off to first water and up to 2nd water spring.
I had a bit of a bush wack to check out the second water spring and then went up to see if I could find Obie Stokers old camp and mines. With the recent rains the pools were full and water was flowing a bit. I came across the camp with the old bed frame and some other rusty cans and what not. Then Headed further up canyon and think I found one of the mines. Headed down the 2nd water canyon back to the trail.
Headed up Boulder canyon trail and crossed it eleventy billionty times. (ok maybe like 10) Then back to dutchman where I had lunch and a barley pop. I had to hydrate and Sierra Nevada makes a good go to pale. There is a ton of pools all through Boulder Canyon.
OK here is where it gets interesting. Coming back Dutchman I caught up with three backpackers. I followed them and their three "dogs" for about .5 miles or so. It turns out one of them was a goat. Cool! Nice to meet you Winston (the goat) and it was good chatting with your owners. They were coming out from a weekend at Charliebois.
Never know what you are going to see out there.
Over all it was a good day for sure. I added superfeet to my boots and that really helped. My feet feel great where as before after doing this distance I would have been in substantial pain. |

Dripping |
Dripping |
| | I am putting dripping here because it seemed to just kinda seep out of the bedrock. There was a trickle in the canyon but with the recent rain that could make it seem like more. Lots of water through this whole hike. | | _____________________
