| no partners | | I heard a tale of some ruins on the south side of Geronimo Head and had the morning to check it out. The forecast rain ended Friday so It seemed Saturday would be a good day to hike. The hike to Boulder creek was good but the creek crossings were not so easy. I stayed dry for a while but realized walking through the creek would be a given to complete my intended off trail route. La Barge Creek north of the lower box was raging as well. I found a good spot to cross because not sticking the landing could have been ugly. Finally I made my way up to the cliffs to check out an alcove I had previously photo zoomed. It turned out to be an old camp but nothing more. I checked the cliff band some more with no luck. On the hike out I zoomed in on what looked to be an out of reach hole. Once I got home and looked at the photo it looks like it may be an old prospect or cave. I guess I'll be going back...
