Started at Barnhardt and ended at that gate for FR25 that leads up to Mormon Grove Trailhead.
I still needed to do from Barnhardt to Mt. Peeley on the Divide Trail and I needed the top 8 miles of Passage 22. The road closure due to the fire has made these a bit more challenging. I picked up Pam early this morning and we headed up to Barnhardt Trailhead. From there I would go do my thing and she would go hike Mt. Ord. This worked out perfect with both the timing and the logistics.
I made good time and didn't have any problems following the trail since I was just here going the other direction a few months ago. Not much has changed except this time there were some foot prints along a good portion of the trail. That and some notes left on the trail for me. See photos. 
As for the way down from Mormon Grove, I took FR25 all the way again. Nothing has been done to it since my last visit. It looks like I need to bust out the road grader and take matters into my own hands.  |
