| no partners | | Finally.......Got one of those rare mornings when conditions were just about perfect for getting out on the bike. Nice bright sun, a slight fog at the start, almost no breeze and low temps (at the start). I hit the gravel roads of the Game Farm and was soon overtaken by the ultimate conditions and kept on going, and going, and going 
The long sleeve shirt kept the deer fly's off my arms and initially the shirt felt good but before my trip was to end, the shirt was pretty warm. I saw a pair of deer but they heard me coming and bolted into the heavy brush, then I came across a pair of Sandhill Cranes in a grassy area close to one of the pools. I was able to get off of my bike and get the camera ready and they were still standing there. I shot several photos and finally they decided that the photo op was finished and they flew off.
I was passing a little used road that I have wanted to explore and the weather was just right for testing it, so off I went. The road had several stretches of sugar sand that were compacted by the recent rains and riding was good enough that I continued on. The gravel roads of the Game Farm finally ended in the little town of Wyoming, MN. along a county highway with good riding lanes.
I've been down this road hundreds of times but there's so much that is missed when you are whizzing past at high speeds. It was a pleasure to poke along at 12 mph and just look at the scenes that have always been there. Finally after a couple more turns, I once again entered the Game Farm to get away from the traffic and once again slow down and smell the wilderness.
My arthritic knees are a bit sore now and my butt is a lot sore, but it feels so good to accomplish this loop  Tomorrow the humidity picks up setting the weather patterns for a stormy weekend  Here we go again
