A quick hike up to Fremont Saddle and then to the overlook by the tree for lunch. This time I enjoyed very special company, making the hike and the day one of those wonderful peak life-moments. My oldest boy's two daughters are out visiting from New Hampshire for spring break. A friend came along whom my wife and I have adopted as another honorary granddaughter. They are escaping the frozen arctic hell that is the eastern US at present. Mary, Big Megan, and Little Megan were troopers and powered right on up. We had fried chicken and Cheetos under the tree.

Granddaughters! Ha! It gets no better than this!
