| no partners | | | I joined my brother and his group on his annual "Wine Hike" at West Clear creek on a beautiful Sunday morning. i managed to wander onto a trail parallel to the main one and got a close view of the old cabin. Down the way a bit I saw what looked like the remnants of a wall and a short distance away a small concrete slab. If anyone knows what used to be there I am curious to know. Made it down to the first creek crossing then went back up and went along the trail that I had been on. I went back and got on the main trail and headed back stopping at the creek by the gauging station. Heading back to the trailhead I found myself facing a horde of people headed up the trail They had coolers of all sizes, swimming toys and one guy was carrying a speaker. It was going to get very crowded and noisy in a hurry. I was glad to be leaving the area. Once the rest of the group got back we proceeded over to the Alcantarra Winery for some wine tasting. Had a very pleasent time there. So it was a very sucessful Wine Hike 2015! |
