A quick scouting hike, thinking of a future backpack: Kachina-Weatherford loop. Also, it was errand day--I had a lot to get done in town.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that even if you have hiked Kachina Trail many times you'll be amazed at how lush and green it is right at this moment. I was amazed. It was actually kind of cold up there. I didn't have on long pants, but did have a light fleece top to put on. It was windy, too, even in the thick woods.
