There were a few hikers already on the trail at this hour but I was just getting some elevation exercise and enjoying the weather.
I got up to the Slickrock Basin and worked my way up to the narrows before taking a short break and heading back. By now the trail was filling up and I could hear voices all the way back down the canyon so the peace and quiet was now gone. I got back to my truck and checked Route Scout and I did the round trip in just over two hours.... If I keep this up, I'll soon be in the league with Sam, JJ and Rick..... NOT! Oh well, it was still a great morning to be out hiking in the Superstitions.
