| no partners | | | We took our annual pontoon ride on Canyon Lake for hikes off the lake with our hiking group. We rent a 12 person pontoon and hike to a variety of caves above Canyon lake about 7 miles up the lake from the marina. This time, we went to skull cave first then about 1/4 mile down on the bend, we climbed up to smaller caves. We spotted 15 sheep on the ledge above us as we climbed to the cave. I had been there several years ago and found a geo cache. It wasn't there this time, but there was a large tarp and pile of dated canned goods and cooking gear. Viewing the sheep made it a great success. Several on the boat had much better cameras than mine, so some really good photos were taken. |
