We left Mesa at 6 a.m. and arrived at the trailhead at 8:30 to begin the hike. It took about two hours at a leisurely pace to reach the creek and about the same time hiking out. We saw 6 other hiking as we hiked out of the area. We were a bit surprised that people leave so late in the day to see the terrific area. Of course, we did have to plan ahead and get a parking pass. Two Forest Service employees greeted us and encouraged us to take plenty of water and be aware fo all the 'rescues' that take place on this trail every year. We were all delighted with the beauty of the area. A great day to take the hike, with beautiful flowering vegetation along the way. |

Wildflowers Observation Moderate Cedars were blooming as well as cactus with other flowers that I didn't know. |
