In efforts to make a loop hike for our hiking club, we walked up the Tortilla Ranch road about one mile. We had seen a map with an old trail going to Fish Creek Canyon Overlook. We built a cairn where we left the trail and worked our way to the overlook. Once there, we made our way toward the Tortilla Ranch. As we dropped down to the ranch, we decided to make our way up to the shelters built of caliche and rocks, closing the shelters. A fun hike for us, but we decided the route we took would not be a good hike for our hiking group at Venture Out.
