A couple of friends from the valley were in town and wanted to do a short hike with plenty of snow. We started from the Hatchery and went east on Highline for a couple of miles. Found a clear spot under a rock outcropping and started a fire. Drank a cold beverage, warmed the pooch and headed back. Took a quick detour to explore Tonto Creek. 2 snow events in 3 days left behind over a foot powder with drifts upwards of 2 feet deep. Enjoyed an amazing sunset on the hike back and drive home.
