Took the youngster on a quick adventure before the storms arrive. He would've easily made it to the spring but I chose to turn around upon hearing the first rumble of thunder. We had the place to ourselves until the last mile where we ran into a family with a couple of young boys and we let them play and finish the hike together. A FS employee let the boys rake and pick up trash near the TH. I already had my hands full of trash I snagged along the trail. As usual, a very enjoyable hike on a beautiful cloud covered morning.
