I started a little after 4:30 this morning. I used the headlamp for the first 10 minutes or so, would have been fine without it, but if I hadn't used it, then we all know I would have stepped on a snake or something. It was a little warmer than two mornings ago, but I thought that the breeze this morning actually made it feel better. I took my time going up, got some nice pictures of the sunrise, then walked a little past the initial top of Pyramid. Turned around at the next little "hill" along the ridge, then headed back down. Very few people out this morning, but saw a little bit more wildlife--millipedes, squirrels, plenty of birds, and started to see and hear some cicadas--always good news for those of us eagerly awaiting the monsoon.
