Thanks Shawn and all the AZT crew. The trail is in great shape. I wish I was in half the shape the trail is. I started south to north and did an out and back. Great weather and views. I saw lots of birds including Quail,Roadrunner,Turkey Vulture, etc.,and a few bunnies. On the first half I saw 4 hikers out checking out the reroute. The reroute is great and was a great section to ride on the second half of my ride. On my second half I meet some through hikers heading to Tiger road and then going to stay at the Chalet for the night before heading for Superior as their finish line for this trip. Another couple sitting in the shade where I starting where done for this trip. Work is calling. Nice couple with some good stories of the AZT and other trails. A nice day out on the trail!
