| partners | | Linda was nice enough to drive me out to do these two trails on my list. One in the 100 hikes book and one in the 60 hikes book. I expecting a hot 20 mile desert march. Prayers were answered and the temps dropped this weekend! We also had a breeze and cloud cover for 75% of the hike . The start of Margies and end of Brittlebush were a little plain but the rest of the hike was more enjoyable then I anticipated. Some cool rock formations and washes. Albeit the washes wore me down pretty good. Linda kept us at a good pace and pointed out the cool stuff like an antler, gopher snake and more Zebra-tailed lizards than we could count. The lizards were quite entertaining. Except for the Cresote, and Palo Verde the flowers were pretty much done. A few wash poppies and that was about it. We made it back to the car right before I talked Linda's ears completely off . Great to get a hike in with Linda. We finished off with a late lunch at Raceway Bar and Grill. Lots of cool signs hanging on the walls. Thanks Linda, like HAZ, |
