| no partners | | I can see why this is on the top of one of Kelly's list's. I'm still not sure what the Park is doing with this trail. The top half has mileage and the bottom half has newer stickers but the mileage is not counted.
I started this hike by the Scorpion Gulch. The Cresote are blooming nicely with a few scattered Poppies on the first mile. Brittlebush blooming up on Max Delta and Judith Tunnel Trails in view from this one. The first half mile or so is in the wash so with your imagination it's like a walk on the beach . Heavy use by horses on first mile. About a mile or so in I got confused and wound up on the Hideout Trail. Backtracked and found my way to my favorite section through the washes and boulders. More imagination and you can be a cowboy chasing a Desperado. If you just roll around a little on this section you will smell like your right in the chase . The top half of this one has a good amount of Poppies with a trace of lupine. Cresote blooming with Brittlebush chasing up the mountain sides. The trail was easier going back down and I was able to stay on trail the whole way. This trail brings out the kid in me and I always enjoy it. Like Kelly, |
