After coming down with a sinus infection of sorts, I decided descending to the bottom of the Canyon was not going to work so I opted for staying up in the cooler weather. I hiked down Hermit trail about a mile or so and turned but up the hill. The Rim trail is nice and flat and mostly paved but I ventured off on the dirt path which had some nice drops along the way. The trail went by fast and so I hiked an extra mile past the Bright Angel trailhead and back. The weather was great as I wasted time walking around, napping, talking on the phone and running in to Boone up on the rim. If I can stay healthy I may venture into the big ditch again someday...
