Day 1:

Started up at the Peralta trailhead at about 7:30am bundled up a bit. We ended up doing this loop in reverse via the east. Trimmin thorns as we went . . .headed east on the Dutchman trail, north on Whiskey Spring trail, then west on Red Tanks trail until we reached Bluff Springs Canyon. We put down camp here, and there were a few different groups who had spent the prior night there. Whiskey Spring was bone dry, but La Barge Spring was going strong. There were plenty of clear pools along Red Tanks as well. One group brought along a dog that was quite territorial . . . coming over to our camp to bark aggressively every few minutes. They rolled out that evening (perhaps due to the forecast).

It rained alllll night. Pretty nice!
