I led a group of eight for a hike of Tortilla Canyon and Peter's Canyon, turning around at Peter's Cave.

There was more water in these canyons than I recall in the past. The water was flowing and avoiding it took more time than normal. Some of us didn't try to avoid it, preferring to wade through the water instead of bushwhacking or looking for some other route. In particular, several of us did this on the way back, skipping a section on the bank (not far from the cave) that we'd always bushwhacked in the past. For those of us who waded, the water was up to waist deep in some spots, probably deeper if the pour-offs weren't avoided.

As usual, it was incredibly scenic; we all enjoyed our time in these canyons.
