Marilyn, Marilyn, Sara, Ben, Nick, Mike, and I hiked the Miner's Needle Loop on Friday, the 8th.

This was my first time around this loop. It was a lot more scenic than I expected it to be. It's definitely worth doing.

I added on a bit of distance by hiking a short ways on Whiskey Spring #238 while the others ate lunch. I kept this diversion short, however, because it was cool and somewhat breezy that day and I didn't want the others to get cold waiting for me. As it turns out, I arrived back at the group just as they were finishing lunch. Anyway, I found there to be great views of both the Miner's Needle and Weaver's Needle at the top of the first significant hill while hiking up the Whiskey Spring Trail.

It was still wet out - Bluff Springs was wet in spots, plus we had to cross the water a few times. We found convenient stepping stones for doing so.
