On Sunday, the 14th, my wife and hiked about three miles (and then back) of the Gold Ridge Trail.

We were delighted (and relieved) to see that this area was untouched by the Bush Fire of 2020.

Trail conditions were somewhat damp, but good. We met some backpackers who told us that it had snowed the night before. The trail was well defined and easy to follow. I had forgotten how unrelenting the steep sections are!
