Took the kids up to the waterfall. Saw quite a few people out there today, which was expected. Trail is muddy in a lot of places, and icy in one very short stretch. Crossing a couple of the flowing drainages was a little tricky with kids, but they did fine. I wisely wore waterproof socks—I could stand in the water and get the kids across, and nobody got wet feet. We had the waterfall to ourselves, and the kids had a pizza lunch there before we headed back down. We watched some rain clouds build up above the Rim, and it was a little warm for the last mile or so—could have used a breeze. It was nice to see so much water out there today.
