A quick hike up to the Wave Cave with some friends. I am slowly introducing them to the Supes and I figured their kids would love this one.

We opted to begin at the Lost Gold Mine Trailhead to avoid the herd at the Carney Spring parking lot. I mentioned to my hiking partners that I had seen critters along this trail in the past and low and behold, it was a virtual Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom Hike all the way. Three rattlers and a desert tortoise! SCORE!

This little Hike gets maligned by many (myself included) for the extraordinary number of people that hike it, but it is a nice hike with a cool destination at the end.

My friends and their kids loved it. Although they told me the Peralta/Cave Trail Loop Hike we did a few weeks ago was better.

The weather is getting hotter, so The next hikes will have to start earlier.
