While it would have been great to reach the Moody Point ruins, but due to lingering physical issues coupled with a later start than planned, the anticipated 12-mile round-trip was no longer a reasonable to expectation. So we decided we would see how it goes and turn back when it felt right.

Nothing to speak of other than ups-and-downs with plenty of loose rocks... enough hazards to spend more time looking at the ground than the scenery. But with my camera fluctuating wildly again on exposures most of the photos were washed out anyway.

Our turn-around point was decided more by hunger than anything else. And once we finished our early lunch, neither of us cared to continue to turning around was easily decided.

After the hike we headed back to what we had planned for our two-night campsite. At the site we soon felt there was no point in attempting to set up our tents due the the extreme windy conditions and an a split-second we began the drive down to lower elevations and/or a more protected site. Ultimately we would camp near the Tule Canyon trailhead, thus no trying to figure out where we would hike tomorrow.
