| no partners | | This was just a hike. No list to check, no bill to fit and no zip to fizz. I hiked up the Tule trail to see what the burn did there. Again there are spots untouched and areas gutted. This area should come back fairly well as most of the saguaros are okay and even after the rains two weeks ago the trail was still there easy to follow. Two Bar trail was okay but did suffer some damage on the climb up heading toward the Reavis Gap trail. The trails are rough with a many rocks but it would take a lot of work to clean them up. The Reavis Gap trail is worse than when I was there a few weeks ago but mostly below the AZT section. I hiked a short section of the Campaign trail but the flash floods have taken a heavy toll. I kicked up a few coveys of quail, had 4 fighters fly over me pretty low and had a bee circle me twice and sting me in the face. I was tired so I barely felt the bee sting and it didn't even swell up. I did find the stinger so I know it was a bee. FR 449 has a few ruts from the rain but nothing you can't avoid. FR 449A has been graded so it's in good shape unlike the trails. |
