A small group of this did this hike by starting and ending at Canyon Lake Marina, which is my favorite way to hike up to Battleship.
We did a lasso loop hike, with the loop circling around Battleship Mountain in a CCW fashion. There was quite a bit of water in Boulder Canyon, the LaBarge Box, and LaBarge Canyon; however, we were mostly able to keep our feet dry. It was really cool to see the water running through LaBarge Box -- there were even a few small waterfalls.
The hike up on Battleship is not an easy one: route finding can be a bit of a challenge, and there are a couple of places with some challenging climbs.
This is one of my favorite hikes, and it was a great day to do the hike! |
