| no partners | | Headed up Marcos De Niza, then up Guadalupe Ridge. Passed several people on the ridge, including a few who weren’t quite sure of the route. I gave them each a brief description of the route, but wasn’t in the mood to play tour guide today. I debated with myself how much of the ridge I wanted to do, but ended up hiking the entire thing. East on National, then through Hidden Valley, and continued down the wash. I really like the wash, and spent some time looking at different ways around the big dry fall. For the first time, I bypassed it on the north side today. Not any easier nor any more difficult than bypassing on the south, but nice to know what the different options are. When I reached the dirt road, I decided there were too many people out for that mile of road walk, so I headed up Mormon Loop to Javelina, then up Ridgeline. Took that east to Beverly Canyon, then West Loop to the parking lot, which was packed. Nice day, but kind of warm. |
