Short hike with the kids. Headed up to the Ruins, then from there, we headed north up the drainage. It was generally not too brushy, with lots of fun scrambling for the kids. We went about 1/3 of the way up before turning around. The kids wanted to keep going, but I was on a time limit, so we’ll have to return another time to see if we can make it the entire way up. On the way back down, the kids played at the Ruins for about 15 minutes before we headed back down the rest of the wash. From there, it was an easy hike back to the trailhead.
