No trail to speak of, just uphill using the saved track as a rough guide. Needed hands in plenty of places. Lots of bighorn evidence. Once we topped out, it was an easy walk over to the high point. The rock arrangements up top are neat. Good views in all directions, but it was hazy today. The descent wasn't as bad as I thought it would be; mostly just a matter of not stepping on a rock that would roll out from under me. Fun hike, and definitely a good challenge. The driving directions were somewhat vague, but luckily I guessed correctly in putting together a driving route. High clearance needed, with some 4wd in places. Lots of new pinstripes too. Thanks, Kelly, for the suggestions for today's hike! |
