took the kids to a (usually) quiet, serene spot that i've been about 4 times by foot, 2 times by kayak. the bridge over tonto was packed, as was the Horton t/h. traffic continued for 1/2 mile up the road. saw no others on the hike except a lone dude at the end near Knoll. on the water however, more ppl than i've ever seen. trout hit hard for a bit, i landed 7 on black rooster tail and 3 more got away. too bad there is a fire restriction! after 4 pm most went elsewhere but a few late day backpackers. quiet, cool night. tried to angle in the a.m. but only got wrist-exercise. a pleasant hike down the rim, passed a couple, then made it home to a cool swimming pool. life is good!
