After putting her boots on and taking care of business in the parking lot we were off. Ideal Arizona weather with a slight chill in the air and a touch of warmth from the sun. Hiked Pyramid just over toward Lost Ranch Ruins and then up Gila to Busera Trail then followed it back to Pyramid. There were surprisingly few people on the trails but the lot was full on our return. The doggie boots don’t seem to grip like bare paws providing entertainment on some of the steeper inclines as she would be “spinning her wheels” like a dragster at the start line but dust instead of burning rubber arising from it. My son and I enjoyed the hike as did Dandi, apparently posting on her Instagram account about planning to be a HAZer. Her strong pulling on the harness helped account for a faster-than-usual time today. |
