| no partners | | Wanted to get in a quick hike and this one seems to be my go-to. I like the tread and I like a couple hills. Today I went clockwise. The sky was overcast with distant light and some high virga; thus I had to take a couple photos of this unusual weather condition.
There were quite a few people out and bike riders, saw a large hawk, met Dave who was riding what he called his trike, hammock-style (he was in an accident thus can't walk), hiked up Apache Vista, chased and passed a couple families on the way down and then all engines stopped.... hot air balloons were lifting off and once again, Tibbermode was in full cycle. It was great to see them so near to the ground and flying fairly close. I photographed them around the rest of the mountain and in fact, took a couple photos from my car. They were only up for 1/2 hour. There were lots of people on this mountain, which is normal.
WATCH: 5.97 miles in 2:05:25 at 2.8 avg MPH. Avg 128 bpm, max 165 bpm (19 min at Zone 5, 27 at 4 and 1 hr at 3) burning 785 calories. Temp at start 57.1 with 10% humidity. Finished at 4:53PM, delay due to hot air balloons. |
