didn't have a great day so hopefully this hike would make it better and it did until I discovered the top of Western Vista was now a toilet bowl

; but then as I encountered over a dozen hikers in the last 1/2 mile on Hawk's Nest Trail and they all said hello, I was better again.

Went counterclockwise and made good time except for stopping for pictures as we had overcast skies and interesting light. Temp was nearly perfect and I didn't have to wear a hat

. Maybe encountered a dozen hikers mixed with bike riders on the loop.

WATCH: 5.44 miles in 1:55. Avg bpm 136, mex 167 (46 min at zone 5, 42 zone 4, 25 at zone 3 burning 809 calories) 66.1 temp at start and 15% humidity.
