| no partners | | Completed another Super Bowl weekend Marsh Valley overnighter. Went clockwise this time. Good water by second water spring, none in Boulder Canyon, and none in LaBarge through Marsh Valley. After camp setup I headed over to Charlebois to load up on water and explore a bit. There were a few folks getting ready to set up camp in the usual spots. I passed lots of people along Cavalry trail, but no other campers. Same nice spot and firewood leftover from a year ago was untouched. Cold enough over night to freeze water in a platy. Good thing I slept with my filter. Stuffed my icy tent into my backpack at 8AM and headed out. Bull pass went fairly quickly and there were plenty of people out along the Dutchman. First water road looks to have been scrapped in the last couple of weeks, not terrible but it really just spread the suck around. |
