Started riding out of Sheepherders park off McDowell road. I wanted to get onto the south side heading northeast, but every entrance was blocked and signed. The north side of the canal was decent and had it's share of rocky spots that made riding the gravel bike feel more appropriate. Came out from Granite reef on Power road and rode on to Phon to turn around. Made a side track on a trail that lead to water before stopping again to reflect on the water views. Rode back the same route. How could there be a head wind both directions?
