| partners | | A couple of years ago I had hiked the LOST trail and come across an interesting cave/mine off trail. I found a box inside that contained {intimate-ish} Polaroid pictures of women in bunny costumes. I had been solo that day and was freaked out since I watch too much Dateline. Back a couple of years ago, I had told a friend who worked for superior forest service about it and she’d actually found it as well, but left it there. Anyways, when our original hiking/camping plans got snowed out & we decided to camp near this area, I knew I’d want to go back & find them again. We set off on the LOST trail with truly’s in hand, on a mission. I couldn’t remember which cave it was and didn’t have a recording from that day either, so we explored a bunch of random caves/alcoves and found nothing. I finally saw one that looked pretty familiar but it was a nasty steep bushwhack to get there. James is a beast, so he volunteered to go check it out. Sadly he didn’t see anything in there. It was getting close to dinner time so we turned around and headed back to camp. I have no idea if those photos are still out there somewhere, but I’ll probably be back to search again and solve this dateline mystery for myself! |
