I did this hike with Wally. When we started, it was pretty chilly in the morning, especially starting right by Roosevelt Lake with the wind coming off the lake. The temps got warmer during the day, but not too bad. The views of the lake and Four Peaks were great. Also some nice views into the Superstitions. We guessed at identifying some of the mountains and after looking at the maps, I think we were way off. One mountain looked like Battleship Mt., but after looking at my maps, I think there's no way it could have been that.

We didn't see any other hikers, but did see some campers along the forest road that the trail crosses. Also saw 2 deer about 2 miles in.
