| no partners | | I decided to finish up my 5 day road trip by hiking to a former fire lookout on the San Carlos Apache Tribe reservation -- the Hilltop Lookout. I purchased a recreation permit from a Circle K in Globe, so I was good to go.
Google maps took me to where I wanted to park, and I took a stroll on a forest road up to the lookout. I enjoyed the hike to the lookout -- the views were great and there were lots of wildflowers to look at along the way.
There were nice 360 degree views at the lookout, which I of course enjoyed. The lookout still exists, although it has seen better days.
This was a fun little hike, and I plan to go back to the San Carlos land to check out some more destinations.
