I got up this morning, looked at the calendar and saw that it was already the 5th day of the month, and then realized that I had not hiked Mount Ord yet this month. So I decided that I'd best head up the Beeline Highway!

It was a great day to do the hike, although it was a tad warmer than I would have liked once I got back to the TH.

There were a few hunters out, but I did not hear any gunshots.

I saw one small deer up on FR 626 -- it was so small that at first I thought that it was a dog or a coyote.

There are still some wildflowers here and there -- more field bindweed than anything else, but there are a few other flowers still blooming.
