It’s been awhile since I have hiked on the rim. I almost forgot it has some redeeming qualities, especially, with a little water.

The trail was in excellent shape, as expected and there was a lot of water. In fact, it took some creativity to keep the feet dry. We turned around at the confluence with Fred Haught Canyon. We passed a runner, two hikers and two bikers. Terrific hiking conditions. We finished to some light sprinkles.

A nice little return to the rim for me and the pups. Another robust monsoon has done the rim country well. Although, I still think I would rather drive five hours to the Blue Range vs driving a mile of the 300 on a weekend.
