| no partners | | We needed to get in just a few miles to meet some year end goals so we went out today just in case the forecast for rain over the next couple days came true. Cathy wanted something without a lot of gain so we decided to just follow Cave Creek north from Spur Cross and then turn around and return using the Metate Trail to take in the Mesquite forest and the little oasis pond.
Temps were cool at the start but got warmer than expected very quickly. More info in the photo captions and the parking lot was getting loaded up by the time we returned. We saw lots of folks heading out for hikes with no hats or water and improper footwear. Common sense is not very common. |
