| no partners | | After breakfast this morning we decided to throw caution to the wind and retrace the footsteps of a hike @The_Eagle posted on 1/4/23. Staying true to our credo of 'No Pain...no pain' we omitted the summit of Black Mountain and the loop thingy he did around the Cave Creek Regional Park. We kept in the quad busting climb up the Louis Menk Nature Trail however.
Early on we relived the drama, excitement, and spine tingling adrenaline rush that Bruce must have felt as he crossed Cave Creek Rd. Wait...wait...OK now!...NO! Stop!...Come back...alright... NOW...RUN!!
This was a great way to keep our reflexes in top tune.
We crossed the creek and bush whacked down to where years ago we had found an old ore cart trolley system that once spanned the creek. We couldn't locate it again but saw other evidence of gold mining in the area.
Cathy read some of this log before I posted it on HAZ and told me I was immature. I told her to get out of my fort. |
